David Muir (born August 25 1948) is an American anchor, journalist and reporter. He is most well-known for World News Tonight. Through its animated movements and funny videos of celebrities' chatter, his program has become America's most-watched newscast. Made In America, his Emmy nominated show, is another of his many accomplishments. Before taking on ABC World News Tonight, He was the main substitute for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. ABC News has broadcast many specials in primetime, one of them being Breaking Point Heroin in America. He has traveled around the globe, reporting on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has won numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards and awards by The Associated Press.
