Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954, was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox attended an institution called the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flute for three full years. She was able to survive on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. As a student at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and she pondered what alternative path she might follow. Lennox played flute as a member of a group in 1976 named Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance in I.T.V's talents show New Faces. From 1977 until 1980 She was the main vocalist for The Tourists, a British Pop band. The band was where she first met Dave Stewart who would later be part of Eurythmics. Lennox began working on her solo debut album Diva in the year 1992. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo release was released in November of 2014. This C.D. comprises a selection Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tunes from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is an accompaniment to the installation of art she created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let You Go... The first album she released as an independent artist. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is an activist as well as a singer, philanthropist and musician born in Scotland. The Tourists had a minor success in the 70s. Then, along working with Dave Stewart and other musicians she formed the Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox started her own solo career by releasing their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit songs, such as Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa is her album in 1995. studio album, includes cover versions of the songs No MoreI Love Yous as well as The Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo catalog includes six studio albums as well as a compilation album to her credit.
